2Samuel 2:1 After this, David asked the Lord, “Should I move back to one of the towns of Judah?”

“Yes,” the Lord replied.

Then David asked, “Which town should I go to?”

“To Hebron,” the Lord answered.

I wish I knew how God answered David. Was it like a conversation ask the question get an answer, or did it take time. Was it a voice that he could hear in his head or otherwise? Did he sense it in his spirit as something different than his own idea? Was it in a dream? From another person? Either was it was question asked and question answered.

I wish when I asked a question of God that I could get such a clear and direct answer.
