Job 19:23-27 NIV

[23] “Oh, that my words were recorded, that they were written on a scroll, [24] that they were inscribed with an iron tool on lead, or engraved in rock forever! [25] I know that my redeemer lives, and that in the end he will stand on the earth. [26] And after my skin has been destroyed, yet in my flesh I will see God; [27] I myself will see him with my own eyes—I, and not another. How my heart yearns within me!

Oh, that his words are written in the bible. They are not written with an iron tool on lead or engraved in rock, but they do last forever. The written words of Job have survived all this time and will continue to survive even longer than those engraved in rock because it is God's word given to us through Job's story. Because of these words we too know that our redeemer lives. In the end HE will stand on the earth. Job does not exist on this earth but the words that he speaks endure. What joy to remember that no matter what we go through in the end we will see Jesus with our own eyes and that yearning in our hearts can get us through the most difficult times.

I know that MY REDEEMER LIVES!
