OBADIAH 1:1-21
REVELATION 4:1-11
PSALM 132:1-18
PROVERBS 29:24-25
Revelation 4:8 Each of the four living creatures had six wings and was covered with eyes all around, even under its wings. Day and night they never stop saying:
“‘Holy, holy, holy
is the Lord God Almighty,’
who was, and is, and is to come.”
9 Whenever the living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to him who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever, 10 the twenty-four elders fall down before him who sits on the throne and worship him who lives for ever and ever. They lay their crowns before the throne and say:
11 “You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”
I don't have the words for the thoughts and feelings these verses cause to move in me. I am just reading them over and over. That is worship!!!
To read more about the 4 living creatures read Daniel 7 and Ezekiel 1. I have found them fascinating and honestly terrifying. It has been my thought for a long time that what our eyes will behold in heaven will be so unknown, beyond comprehension to our mind. It is from those images that awe and wonderer begin to seep in and the power, might, holiness, and goodness of God begin to be revealed. I plan on being terrified as is the account of each prophet who encountered God and the visions He imparted. We can run into the arms of Jesus but we will fall down in the presence of God.
