MICAH 5:1-7:20

REVELATION 7:1-17

PSALM 135:1-21

PROVERBS 30:5-6

Psalm 135:5 “Every word of God is flawless;

    he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Do not add to his words,

    or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

We should be regularly in the word of God and also be seeking clarity and understanding of His flawless word. But we also need to be sure that we are not claiming that it says something that it does not. There are many people and even churches out there that will claim that the word of God says things that it does not. They will do as the devil does when he quotes scripture. He takes it out of context and claims that it means things other than what it means. We must be careful that we are not led astray by those false teachings. The only way to know if the word of God is being used properly is to study it and learn it so well that the false words are glaringly obvious.

Lord, I pray that you would guide me as I read your word and share my thoughts. I pray that your Spirit will convict me when I am tempted to add to your words things that you do not say. Also please give me discernment to recognize the truth of your word when others preach and teach so that I am not misled. May the counterfeit teaching be proven as lies as you rebuke those who blatantly ignore your truth and try to mislead others. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

This thought just popped into my head. In order to be washed clean, you must first be dirty, otherwise, you are already clean by your own account. Many's prideful inability to admit we are all sinners, incapable of doing good a part from the work of the Holy Spirit in us, is the downfall of many now. I'm hopeful that during the tribulation it is indeed not to late to repent and turn to God. Those mentioned in the above scripture seem to ind…
