3John 1:3 It gave me great joy when some believers came and testified about your faithfulness to the truth, telling how you continue to walk in it. 4 I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.

There is no geeater joy than to see your children (personal and spiritual) walking in Truth. God has given me many children. My biological son and daughter, many of their friends, over 20 yrs worth of youth group kids, some of whom still consider me to be a mom to them. But we can also have spiritual children who are older than we are. Many of my children are not walking in Truth and the level of sorrow that comes from that is equal to the joy in seeing those who are. It makes me think of some of the spiritual parents in my life. I think I will reach out to them in thanksgiving for raising me up in the way I should go. I pray that they would be greatly joyful about all that God is doing in my life.

3John 1:11 Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.

I will also ask them to be praying for me. That as I take some big steps in my obedience to God and walking in His Truth, I would not be distracted or sidetracked by the enemy.

Proverbs 29:12 If a ruler listens to lies,

    all his officials become wicked.

Anyone who is in leadership of any kind needs to always be seeking Truth. Those they govern over are their responsibility. Just about every adult has those that are under them that they are responsible for. It is bad for any individual to listen to lies because it will put them on a wicked path, but it will also have a direct impact on anyone they are responsible for. Lies will corrupt a ruler and his officials will become wicked. Their wickedness will corrupt their soldiers which will then influence their families and on and on. The only way to break the cycle is with Truth. Learn it, live and and teach it. I am so grateful to those who were in leadership over me who put me on the right path. I pray God will allow me to do the same for others.
