Psalms 37:7 NIV

[7] Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

The secret to avoiding stress, anxiety and fear. Be still before the Lord. Not an easy thing to do but the more we are in His word the easier it becomes. The bible is His instruction manual for our lives and when we study it and apply it to our lives it will give us direction, and guidance in how to live in His peace even when things are not going the well. Even when the evil of the world is working out wicked schemes all around us. His word in partnership with His Spirit living inside us will bring us through. But to hear from the Spirit we need to be still before Him and see what His word says.
