1 Corinthians 15:12-14 NIV
[12] But if it is preached that Christ has been raised from the dead, how can some of you say that there is no resurrection of the dead? [13] If there is no resurrection of the dead, then not even Christ has been raised. [14] And if Christ has not been raised, our preaching is useless and so is your faith.
What is the point in being saved and reconciled to God if we do not get to live with Him in eternity. I guess that those who didn't believe in a resurrection from the dead only thinks of eternity as spiritual. I am so grateful for the resurrection. Not only that but as Paul goes on to explain that since Jesus rose from the dead, we must believe in the resurrection. If you deny the resurrection of the body, then you are saying that Jesus didn't raise from the dead. At this point the entire gospel message crumbles.
1 Corinthians 15:42-44 NIV
[42] So will it be with the resurrection of the dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it is raised imperishable; [43] it is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory; it is sown in weakness, it is raised in power; [44] it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. If there is a natural body, there is also a spiritual body.
I look forward to the resurrected body. Imperishable, glorious, powerful! Thank you Jesus!
