September 23, 2026 - Keep My Heart Close to You Lord
“The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught. Therefore once more I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish.””

I feel like most of the time my heart is in line with my lips in honoring and worshiping God but sometimes I admit I am just going through the motions. And when we are going through the motions it is the same as doing it just to follow human rules. I am grateful that when I am my heart drifts to merely human things that God always gets my attention and astound me with wonder upon wonder. Please Lord let me have your wisdom and intelligence. Keep my heart and mind close to you and true to you as I face the things of the world that would try to distract me from you.
