April 3, 2024 - Rejoice in Christ

Luke 10:17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.”

18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. 20 However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

When we get to join God in the work He is doing and He works in us and through us, we need to be careful to not think it is us. It is Christ in us through the power of the Holy Spirt. Without surrender to Christ we would not have our "names written in heaven". We would not have the power of Christ in us so we should rejoice in Him not in the work.
