Psalms 93:1-5 NIV

[1] The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. [2] Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity. [3] The seas have lifted up, Lord, the seas have lifted up their voice; the seas have lifted up their pounding waves. [4] Mightier than the thunder of the great waters, mightier than the breakers of the sea— the Lord on high is mighty. [5] Your statutes, Lord, stand firm; holiness adorns your house for endless days.

On this day that we remember the crucifixion let us also remember that even though it looked to the world like Jesus lost, He was never out of control. He still reigned. The robe they placed on Him and the way they mocked Him didn't change that He is forever robed in majesty and He sits on a throne that was established long ago and lasts forever. Even though He looked weak to the world He is always armed with strength. He is from all eternity. He is greater and mightier than all that He created.

I am a little disappointed that we did not read tomorrows reading in Luke today and this Psalm tomorrow since tomorrow is a day of waiting. While Jesus is in the tomb it would be a good day to remember who Jesus is. He is God He is the King and His throne is eternal and Sunday is Coming. But I guess that is good to remember every day.
