JEREMIAH 37:11-38:28
EZEKIEL 1:1-3:1
Ezekiel 1:25 Then there came a voice from above the vault over their heads as they stood with lowered wings. 26 Above the vault over their heads was what looked like a throne of lapis lazuli, and high above on the throne was a figure like that of a man. 27 I saw that from what appeared to be his waist up he looked like glowing metal, as if full of fire, and that from there down he looked like fire; and brilliant light surrounded him. 28 Like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the radiance around him.
This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. When I saw it, I fell facedown, and I heard the voice of one speaking.
Such an amazing and difficult thing to imagine what it looks like. I do remember that I always thought about this visions when we would pay Star Wars Clone Wars because there were intersecting circle wheels that reminded me of the this. Trying to imagine the image of God as describe is mind blowing for me. I would think that falling facedown is an appropriate response.
In an attempt to get some kind of picture in my head I did a google search and found the below video that uses different illustrations to represent what is described in Ezekiel 1. I also shared the google link that shows a bunch of images.

It is also worth watching the Bible project video for the entire book of Ezekiel. I hope you enjoy it all.
We are warned over and over again to fear the Lord. People all through the Bible fall on their faces at His name. Heck they didn’t even speak His name.
Have we been desensitized?
In my studies of Revelation we often went to Ezekiel and Daniel to cross reference. The descriptions of the visions are confusing and frightening. I would ponder the people and the horses and the beasts in the visions and I would think, ‘Heaven is not at all what we think or envision it to be’.
Perhaps we too often interchange Heaven and eternity?
In Heaven battles are being fought, evil is present or Lucifer wouldn’t have fallen from there. We just think that our God is…
