EZEKIEL 10:1-13:23
Ezekiel 11:18 “They will return to it and remove all its vile images and detestable idols. 19 I will give them an undivided heart and put a new spirit in them; I will remove from them their heart of stone and give them a heart of flesh.
God promises to brings them back to Him. Having an undivided heart is not something we can do on our own. And our hearts are as hard as stone unless the spirit of God softens it. Our sinful nature is always at war with our desire to please God which divides our hearts. But as followers of Jesus we have a new Spirit in us that can help us to fight that battle. Thank you Jesus forgiving me and giving me a heart of flesh and directing me that I might have more victories over that sinful nature.
Thank you for giving me small victories, while you patiently wait for obedience. Thank you for never leaving me or forsaking me in my failures. Thank you for revealing your truths to me so that I can strive on towards the life you had planned for me in advance. Thank you for looking upon me through Jesus’ eyes and all that happened to our Lord for this very reason. Thank you for bestowing upon me your ultimate victory when I come home to you.
