2 CHRONICLES 29:3-31:21
2 Chronicles 30:18 Although most of the many people who came from Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar and Zebulun had not purified themselves, yet they ate the Passover, contrary to what was written. But Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, “May the Lord, who is good, pardon everyone 19 who sets their heart on seeking God—the Lord, the God of their ancestors—even if they are not clean according to the rules of the sanctuary.” 20 And the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people.
When I read today's reading it sounds like revival to me. Revival is an improvement in the state or condition of something. A return of interest or fervor. Hezekiah called the people back to faith and back to obedience and they responded with fervor, excitement and generosity. They were so excited to respond that the priests couldn't keep up. The Levites had to step up and assist with things they wouldn't normally do. The people were so quick to respond they didn't even take the time to go through all the purification rituals that they were supposed to. In their passion to turn back to the Lord they broke some rules. But we know that it is more about the heart than about the rules. Their reason for breaking the rules was because their hearts were set on seeking God. That is why Hezekiah prayed for them and why the Lord healed them. Imagine what it would be like for a church to be so full of people who are passionately seeking God so much so that the Pastor is not able to keep up with all the services, visits, classes, prayers and calls that are needed. As an elder in my church I would gladly give up everything to help meet the demand.
2 Chronicles 31:9 Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps; 10 and Azariah the chief priest, from the family of Zadok, answered, “Since the people began to bring their contributions to the temple of the Lord, we have had enough to eat and plenty to spare, because the Lord has blessed his people, and this great amount is left over.”
A natural response to passionately seeking the Lord is generous giving to the work of the Lord. How amazing it would be for or church to receive so many offerings that all of the needs of the church were met and an abundance was left over. I can't even imagine all the things that God would do with such an abundance of people, passion and money that we would never even being to think about.
Lord send revival on this nation!

I don’t think we have to wait till we are big or have money pouring in. How much more is the Lord pleased than to see a church that is small and accomplish His will.
After that service on Sunday and hearing all the hearts and lives that are touched inside and outside our walls, Wow! He is so good and so gracious that He has raised us up though we are small like David.
Your post got me wondering, is there anything more we should be doing to help Pastor Rick? Even though we are small the work abounds. We continue to come through so much change which is always harder than holding the status quo.
