1 CHRONICLES 24:1-26:11

ROMANS 4:1-12

PSALM 13:1-6

PROVERBS 19:15-16

Romans 4:9 Is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham’s faith was credited to him as righteousness. 10 Under what circumstances was it credited? Was it after he was circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before! 11 And he received circumcision as a sign, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised.

Just as circumcision is not what saves so too baptism does not save. I think many parents feel a need to have their infants baptized because of a fear that if something happens to them before they are baptized, they won't go to heaven. I cannot find any biblical support for that. Not only does this scripture support that there is no action or work that needs to be done on our part to be saved only faith from a heart that is given to Jesus, but Jesus told the thief on the cross that he will be with Him in paradise. He was saved by his faith and could not be baptized but he was saved.

We are saved by faith and faith alone. Our faith is what is credited to us as righteousness. That is GOOD NEWS!

The Catholic do infant baptism as they say “we are all born of original sin”

Cleansing from original sin

Baptism cleanses babies from original sin and recognizes their divine adoption.

I like infant baptism, but also feel a baptism when you’re older and have accepted Jesus as your savior is more important.

Replying to

We cannot be cleansed of original sin unless we accept Christ as our Savior and we can't do that as an infant. Baptism is not what cleanses us Jesus does. You do not have to be baptized to se saved.
