Psalm 85:10 Love and faithfulness meet together;
righteousness and peace kiss each other.
I was getting to the end of this reading and thinking what a bummer nothing is really standing out to me. Then I read this and know that it is a verse that I have never thought about before.
Love and faithfulness meet together. God who loves us is eternally faithful. If you are ever tempted to doubt His faithfulness, remember all He has done. All the ways that He has shown His love. Think about all that He endured and suffered for the forgiveness of our sins. Our response should be that of love for Him. Our love should meet faithfulness. What is it in your life that you are being unfaithful to God in. How can we say we love Jesus and then walk in unfaithfulness. The more our love and faithfulness meet the more we experience the blessing of sanctification which leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to peace. So, if we track backward, a lack of peace is repaired by righteousness that grows out of the sanctification that proceeds from faithful following of Christ. A faithfulness that is the natural response to our Love for Him. A love that is fueled by the remembrance of how faithful and loving He is to us.
