Psalms 36:1-6 NIV

[1] I have a message from God in my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before their eyes. [2] In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin. [3] The words of their mouths are wicked and deceitful; they fail to act wisely or do good. [4] Even on their beds they plot evil; they commit themselves to a sinful course and do not reject what is wrong. [5] Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies. [6] Your righteousness is like the highest mountains, your justice like the great deep. You, Lord, preserve both people and animals.

I see an outline for the Gospel message. God has a message for the lost. The lost are often unaware of their sin. They are so confident in their own ideas and desires that they are blind and in denial of the sin in their lives. I have heard on the radio recently that the young people are more focased on their own humanistic power and opinions. Think about what it means when sinful humans begin to believe and live as though their thoughts ideas and opinions are all that matter when it comes to determinining what is right and wrong. That is where our world is at. They "do not reject what is wrong." The first step in someone turing to Christ is that they must realize that they are a sinner and that they cannot save themselves. That there is absolute truth that is determined by God not man. Once God convictes them of that sin the next step is that there is a way out. There is a way to not have to suffer the consequence of those sins. "Your love, Lord, reaches to the heavens, your faithfulness to the skies." His love also came down from heaven. Jesus, is the God in all the fullness of His love for us who came down to earth. He lived the perfect life that we cannot live and died the death that we deserve. He rose to life on the 3rd day so that we too can be saved from spiritual death. Then His love reaches to heaven when He went back into heaven with the promise that we will see Him again. But it all starts with "Lord I am a sinner" and ends with, "Thank you Lord, I am saved."
