1 Corinthians 1:26-29 NIV

[26] Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. [27] But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. [28] God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, [29] so that no one may boast before him.

As I read these words today, I am thinking of people who say I'm not smart enough, strong enough, outgoing enough, knowledgeable enough, influential enough etc. Whatever it is that makes you think that you can't do life changing things for the Kingdom of God, Jesus says yes, you can, because it is not you doing it. It is Jesus in you. In fact, the weaker you are, the more uneducated you are, the less powerful and influential you are, the more God can use you. Those things make us proud when we need to be humble. Those things make people look at you and think wow look what that person did. But the more lowly we are, the more humble we are the better. When people look at an uneducated, weak, person with low social status and witness God's hand at work they are able to see that it is God who did. We are more likely to give the glory to God instead of becoming boastful.

So, when you are feeling unworthy and incapable rejoice because those are the exact qualifications that you need to be used by God to accomplish kingdom work!
