Last week during bible study I had made the comment that there is rarely a time that I do my daily bible reading that I don't have something that stands out to me. Now it's twice in a week. I do enjoy when you share on the day's I don't have anything because then I am reminded what this blog is about. Why it was started. It was not so I could tell people what I think. Even though there are people in my life who think that is important to me. It's not.
I know how important it is to have accountability in my daily bible reading. My accountability partner of over 10 years had died a year before and I was doing daily reading on my own. I had missed being able to discuss what I read with her so I reached out for others in my small group who might want to join me. When I started this there were a few other people who wanted to do better at daily reading, so I thought a blog was a good way for us to all have a place to go to and discuss what we read for the day. It increases my accountability to do my reading daily and decreases the chance of me making excuses for not doing it. The intent is for everyone who reads to also share a word or verse or thought that caught their attention. This gives you something to meditate on and to seek God for guidance in what he would say to you through the reading. It is also to be a way for you to be accountable to do the reading. If you comment, then we know you did read. Even if you just comment saying you did read. However, going into the reading as an opportunity to hear from God instead of checking a task off a list will make it easier to be constant in your daily reading. If you knew that you were getting a letter from your best friend from far away every day, then you would go to your mailbox daily with joy and anticipation. So, come into your bible reading time with an expectation that God has something to say to you. Also, when you share your thought and questions it becomes a place where God can speak to each of us and since it's online who know who else He will speak to. If you would like to have a higher level of responsibility to increase your accountability let me know. I would love to see how God can use a team of people surrendered to Him in daily prayer and meditation to reach the world encouraging others to Dive in Daily to the Living Water.

Amen. The servant submitted to the master…the following of Jesus Himself. All glory and honor for all and through all to Him the only righteous King.
I always find it interesting when a certain part of scripture jumps out at me, though I basically understood it when I take a deeper dive through the commentary I’ve shared below. God speaks to me in more ways than I expected, and the application to my life and my thoughts, and my current concerns, prayers, issues have like shed on them.
Thank you, Jesus for loving us through your truths

Does the ax raise itself above the person who swings it,
or the saw boast against the one who uses it?
As if a rod were to wield the person who lifts it up,
or a club brandish the one who is not wood!
How absurd is it…
