Numbers 21:1-22:20

Luke 1:26-56

Psalm 57:1-11

Proverbs 11:9-11

Luke 1:48 “My soul glorifies the Lord

47and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,

48 for he has been mindful

    of the humble state of his servant.

From now on all generations will call me blessed,

My soul glorifying the Lords and spirit rejoicing in God my Savior is the state I would like to always be in. It is the way I want people to see me, especially people who don't know God. I see the secret to living that is to be humble so that the Lord will be mindful of my humble state. I have had much focus on being humble and serving God and others as well as being different from the world. I pray that people would see me as blessed and want to know why. I pray that when they ask, I would be bold and not hesitate to give all glory honor and praise to God so that they might seek the Lord as well.

Psalm 57:7 My heart, O God, is steadfast,

    my heart is steadfast;

    I will sing and make music.

May my heart be steadfast in singing and making music to the Lord. In all things at all times. In good times but even more so in difficult times. When I am facing battles in my lives as well as when things are going well.

Psalm 57:8 Awake, my soul!

    Awake, harp and lyre!

    I will awaken the dawn.

I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;

    I will sing of you among the peoples.

I am imagining my praise as awaking the dawn. Our praise has influence over so many things. Our praise changes us. Our praise brings God into our presence and drives Satan from us. Our praise is heard by and joined by nature itself. When we praise the Lord it changes people and things. So much power in the humble praise of God's people.
