Psalms 141:2-4 NIV
[2] May my prayer be set before you like incense; may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. [3] Set a guard over my mouth, Lord; keep watch over the door of my lips. [4] Do not let my heart be drawn to what is evil so that I take part in wicked deeds along with those who are evildoers; do not let me eat their delicacies.
What a great way to start the day.
May I lift my hands not just physically to you but more so in my heart. I lift my hands in praise and surrender. I always need a guard over my mouth. Not just to close it when I need not speak and to influence what I say when I do speak, but to open it with the right words at times that I would not speak but should. Protect me from the world and the lies that tell me that things that are not godly are okay. Keep me from wicked ways. Amen
