1 Kings 8:41 “As for the foreigner who does not belong to your people Israel but has come from a distant land because of your name— 42 for they will hear of your great name and your mighty hand and your outstretched arm—when they come and pray toward this temple, 43 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Do whatever the foreigner asks of you, so that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you, as do your own people Israel, and may know that this house I have built bears your Name.

Ever wonder why God answers the prayers of people who don't believe in Him? Solomon in his wisdom knows why and affirms that when he prays to God. He knows that even those who are not God's chosen people hear about His great name and mighty and outstretched arm they will pray to Him when in need. When He answers their prayer favorably, they go from hearing about His great name to knowing His great name. The AI overview on Google when asked about knowing someone's name in Jewish culture it says, "In Jewish culture, knowing someone's Hebrew name carries a deeper significance than just a means of identification. It represents a connection to their spiritual essence, their family history, and their place within the Jewish community. It's more than just a label; it's a conduit to their soul and a link to their ancestors." The Temple is made for the Name of God and even foreigners could come there and pray to Him. I am so grateful that His name is not just for the Jews to know but it is for anyone who seeks Him. I pray that the many people in my life who do not follow Jesus would come to KNOW HIS NAME!!
