1 Kings 10:14 The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents,

I just found it interesting that Solomon received 666 talents of gold yearly. We know that God have him his riches because he did not ask for them but when we put our faith in our riches it can be bad. The number represents something that is incomplete or flawed. So no matter how great his riches looked they were flawed. That is not where value comes from. 666 is also the number given to the antichrist who opposes God and tries to deceive humanity. Many people are deceived by riches.

We are warned in 1 Timothy about loving money.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. And some people, craving money, have wandered from the true faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.

Money is not the root of evil but the love of it. Craving money over God will end badly. I wonder if this number here is a foreshadowing of these truths we read later.
