Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house,

    the builders labor in vain.

Unless the Lord watches over the city,

    the guards stand watch in vain.

Again we see that nothing we can earn, create, build or achieve has any value if not done with God. It is all meaningless. As Solomon also says in Ecclesiastes.

Ecclesiastes 1:2 “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!”
