John 20:19 NIV

[19] On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

John 20:26 NIV

[26] A week later his disciples were in the house again, and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!”

Jesus in His resurrected body appears and disappears in locked rooms. Imagine what our resurrected bodies will be. Different in appearance in some way but recognizable. Healed of any infirmity and imperfection. (That would make us look different) I wonder if Jesus chose to keep the crucifixion marks on His body or if they are there because our forgiveness is eternal. Do the marks remain because what He did is for all time. Not just on this earth but also the new earth to come. It is reasonable to expect that our bodies are also going to move about without limitations of distance or obstacles. We will experience things in a way that we cannot imagine on this earth. I don't think we can possibly imagine what it will be like. I don't think we should even try. Just having this little glimpse of resurrection should bring us joy and hope and a sense of anticipation.

John 20:30-31 NIV

[30] Jesus performed many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. [31] But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

If there were any doubt about what I said about John's gospel being written to prove Jesus as Messiah, the Son of God you can take his word for it.
