PSALM 12-17
PSALM 19-21
I wondered when we would get into all the Psalms. I expected it to be before David died.
Psalm 19:1 The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun.
I love this Psalm. The idea that all of creation declares the glory of God. I have been thinking about what it means to amplify Jesus and ways to do that. We need to amplify Jesus to ourselves in our own lives as well as amplify Jesus to the world around us.
The first thing I thought is when we turn down or mute ourselves then Jesus is amplified. We need to be less and He needs to be more. That is how we can better hear Him and in turn become more like Him. In doing so we are amplifying Him to the world. Creation has no words to speak of it's own. But just by being and functioning in the way it was created to function, obedient to the creator the "heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands." When we live and functions according to the creator's plan for us we too will declare the glory of God and proclaim the work of His hands. Imagine how loud the proclamation of Jesus would be if people in numbers like the stars were declaring His glory in how we live, speak and love. Now that would be Jesus AMPLIFIED!

Nice!
