Hebrews 3:19 So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.
Just as the Israelites were told that God was going to give them the Promised Land, we have a promised land. When Jesus returns, we have the promise of the New Heaven and the New Earth that all who believe will get to spend eternity. It is an exclusive entry. Belief is the way to get there. Not just belief that Jesus is God but belief that we can't get there on our own because we know the depth of our sin. And the belief that His death really was enough to cleanse us and a willingness to receive that forgiveness with trust, love and surrender. There were those who did not get to enter the promised land because they didn't trust God and His promise to them. They thought it was up to them to get there. Just like there are those that think they can be good enough to make it to heaven. That's why when the spies came back they said we can't beat them. They are bigger than we are. They should have realized that the enemy was not bigger than God is and trusted Him to do what He said He would do. They were not willing to trust God and surrender to His guidance so they were denied entry. When The Day comes will you be looking forward to it knowing that you will gain entry? I know I am. I get a little giddy thinking about. I'm looking forward to it so much that I started reading "The Bema" again. Hope to see you there!
As I was looking to close my tabs on my browser my old blog was on one of the tabs and for some reason I thought, I wonder what song I had linked for the sacrifice of praise for my last post and when I opened it I knew why I had the thought to listen to it.

12 See to it, brothers and sisters, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the living God. 13 But encourage one another daily, as long as it is called “Today,” so that none of you may be hardened by sin’s deceitfulness. 14 We have come to share in Christ, if indeed we holdour original conviction firmly to the very end.
Your circle matters. Surround yourself with those who you can speak your truth. Surround yourself with those who will encourage you with His truth!
