Ezekiel 22:30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one. 31 So I will pour out my wrath on them and consume them with my fiery anger, bringing down on their own heads all they have done, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

Christ’s Sacrifice Once for All

Hebrews 10:1 The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming—not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship. 2 Otherwise, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins. 3 But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins. 4 It is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.

5 Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said:

“Sacrifice and offering you did not desire,

    but a body you prepared for me;

6 with burnt offerings and sin offerings

    you were not pleased.

Thank you Jesus that I do not need some human to stand in the gap on my behalf. I do not have to go to an imperfect human with an imperfect sacrifice over and over again. Thank you for taking on my sins so that the Father does not pour out His wrath on me. I am not concerned about my eternity because of You. I no longer need to hold onto the guilt of my sin. There is no sacrifice that I can bring other than the sacrifice of my heart to you. You have set me free and my heart is to please you. Lord take my heart and let it be consecrated Lord to thee. Reveal to me the sin in my life as I go through my day not to feel guilty but to be aware of it so that I might confess it and turn from it.
