EZEKIEL 27:1-28:26

HEBREWS 11:17-31

PSALM 111:1-10

PROVERBS 27:15-16

Psalm 111:2 Great are the works of the Lord;

    they are pondered by all who delight in them.

Glorious and majestic are his deeds,

    and his righteousness endures forever.

He has caused his wonders to be remembered;

    the Lord is gracious and compassionate.

He provides food for those who fear him;

    he remembers his covenant forever.

Those who delight in the Lord and His words will ponder them. Pondering leads to remembering. But they did not just ponder them and remember them they praised Him for it. The more they reviewed and repeated the truth of God's great works the deeper it worked not just into their heads but their hearts also. They had faith in His mighty works, His character and His covenant.

Hebrews 11:22 By faith Joseph, when his end was near, spoke about the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt and gave instructions concerning the burial of his bones.

On his death bed Joseph's heart and mind was on the Lord's work, character and covenant. He spoke of the history of God and it was so much a part of his heart that he wanted his bones to be buried in the land of promise. The land God covenanted to bring them to. The land that God was faithful to bring them to. The land that He performed miracle after miracle to show His power and to bring them into it.

Hebrews 11:31 By faith the prostitute Rahab, because she welcomed the spies, was not killed with those who were disobedient.

Faith is contagious. Not only did the Israelites remember the Lord's mighty works but word got around. They spoke of it, sang of it and gave God they glory so much that the surrounding nations heard all about it. Rahab when she heard about all God had done believed it and so did all the others in that land. That is why they were looking for the spies to kill them. They were afraid of them. But Rahab believed in her heart and it influenced what she did. She was not afraid of the spies but she had the fear of the Lord in her because she had faith that all that she heard was true. She caught the faith fever.

When we live out our faith through our words and actions God will use that to reveal Himself to those who don't know Him and faith gets caught. Let's spread faith like a cold. Every time we give God the glory for the things He has done in our lives it's like sprinkling (sneezing) faith on them. The more that our actions reflect Him and not the world we are covering (touching) them with faith. And the more we talk about what He has done in our lives and the world around us we are shouting (coughing) faith on them. Faith is contagious the more we share it the more He will be known and the more people will catch the faith fever and be on fire for Jesus. So don't mask your faith put it out there for all to see.

Hebrews this morning…In faith ❤️

It brings to light true examples of those where a willingness to trust God was weighed against an uncertain future.

In these verses, the author lists, examples of faith, one right after the other, if you pay attention, it makes you stop and think and it makes you pray. Pray for that mustard seed in all circumstances and pray for a history list of times that God was faithful in your own life so that when the next circumstance arises (and it will) that demands faith, you can look back, and I not only remember the faith of those written in the book of life, but remember the times that God showed up in yo…
