EZEKIEL 3:16-6:14

HEBREWS 4:1-16

PSALM 104:24-35

PROVERBS 26:27

Hebrews 1:12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. 13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.

No wonder some people would rather listen to the lies of the world and ignore God's word. It is alive and active which means it never stops applying to our lives and many people don't like what it has to say about their life. It is sharper than any double-edged sword. It is a better weapon than anything the enemy can wield and it can cut to the deepest parts of every lie and reveal truth. And people like to keep the truth of how they live their lives hidden. It exists in the power of God and therefore can judge the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Just because you believe a lie does not make it true. Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Living in the lies of the enemy means that when the time comes and you must give an account of your life there is no way to hide anything that you have done.

So instead live in the truth of God's word. It is alive and active so you will always be able to find the answers your need. It is sharper than any double-edged sword that penetrates the depths of every lie, so it is your weapon against the enemy. Plunge it into the heart of any lie that your thoughts linger on so that it doesn't become an attitude of your heart. Even if it does get to your heart His truth can recognize it and remove it. Nothing is hidden from God's sight and He understands our weaknesses and temptations and wants to help us through them.

Hebrews 1:15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin. 16 Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.

Whether you have been living in the lies of the world your entire life because you haven't known Jesus or you know Him but still in your humanness struggle with living in the truth, you can "approach God's throne of grace with confidence". In your time of need you can receive His mercy and find grace. Just turn to Jesus who is the way the truth and the life. The only way to eternal peace.
