EZEKIEL 44:1-45:12

1 PETER 1:1-12

PSALM 119:17-32

PROVERBS 28:8-10

1 Peter1:3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by God’s power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time

More things to make me think about the second coming of Jesus and to look forward to the day. The living hope that we have to look forward to is an inheritance that will never perish. It will be eternal for us. It is being kept for us in heaven. It is being guarded by the power of God until that time.

1 Peter 1:6 In all this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while you may have had to suffer grief in all kinds of trials. These have come so that the proven genuineness of your faith—of greater worth than gold, which perishes even though refined by fire—may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed.

Sometimes when we are going through grief and trials it is hard to "greatly rejoice". We must try to remember that these trials are opportunities for our faith to be refined. To be made purer and stronger and more valuable by the fires of those trials. When we can praise Him and give Him glory and honor in the midst of our trials our faith is seen as genuine. It is valuable for the kingdom as God uses it to make Himself known through your faith and it will bring us glory in heaven when we face our judgement.

Ezekiel 44

2 The Lord said to me, “This gate is to remain shut. It must not be opened; no one may enter through it. It is to remain shut because the Lord, the God of Israel, has entered through it.

~ The above verse was written in a different context, today, God reveals to me to apply it to my life in this way:

To my doubts, my fears, my trials, my hesitations all of my inadequacies. God has already walked through those doors. I am to acknowledge the doors in which God shuts in my life. For every battle that he has won for me, through every fire that I walk through and come out on the other en…
