1John 1:5 This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live out the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

Since we decided the theme for our conference "Living in Truth" I am being shown it over and over again. I should have started keeping track of all of them. Here we see that to live out the TRUTH we need to walk in the light. Jesus is the Light. How do we know we are walking in the light? We will have fellowship with one another. My favorite times are when I am enjoying fellowship with my brothers and sisters in Christ!

1John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

I have heard of people who claim to no longer be a sinner. They actually believe that they no longer sin. Here we see that if we claim that, then we are making Jesus out to be liar, and His word is not in us. His word is TRUTH and we need it to be in us so that we can live in it.
