1Timothy 6:1 All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered.

We should see this as advise to employees about their employer. Even if you employer is not a good person we are to do our jobs to the best of our ability and with integrity because our lives directly reflect on Christ. Our lives including our work should reflect Christ. When we treat other including our boss with disrespect then we are dirtying God's name and slandering his teaching.

1Timothy 6:11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

We will do all things as for Christ when we pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness.

1Timothy 6:20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, 21 which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.

In this world we are bombarded with "godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge". Turn from it! In fact I would say run from it! Every moment that you spend pursuing the false knowledge of the world is a moment that you are not pursuing the truth of God. Each step you take toward those opposing ideas increases the distance between you and true faith in God.

Run toward Jesus and shut the door on the false ideas that the world calls knowledge and live for Christ!
