October 30, 2026 -Godly Wisdom Is the Answer
“[21] My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; [22] they will be life for you, an ornament to grace your neck. [23] Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble.[24] When you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. [25] Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, [26] for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.”
Proverbs 3:21-23 NIV
I was called on to help someone who was having a medical condition that caused confusion, paranoia and erratic mood swings. She asked me over and over again if her family was safe and if she was saved. Every time I directed her back to Jesus with biblical truth and it would calm her. The only way to get Godly wisdom as is spoken of in Proverbs is to be in God's word. When we are facing times that tempt us to look away from God and His truth to lies that will cause pain, fear and confusion, we can fight that temptation with the truth. And just like this friend who was not able to think clearly for herself, if someone who is filled with discernment because of the wisdom of God speaks those truths it will battle those lies for them. There is power through Jesus to calm the fearful, give rest to the restless, and comfort anxious. She told me today that she had a great nights sleep. I guess her sleep was sweet. Thank the Lord!
