September 11, 2026 - Heart, Mind and Life for Christ
Colossians 3:1-3
1Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. 4When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.
Just talked to a friend of mine who has been going through some of the same things that I have been feeling with being busy as well distracted from what should be most important. Which as I have said a few days ago resulted in my irritablity with everything. We just talked today about the need to be looking to Jesus not the world.
If we can remember that we have been raised with Christ that should help us to raise our eyes to Him. If we set our hearts on things above then we will be more concerned about the eternity of those around us than on our own happiness wants and desires. Christ is seated at the right hand of God and is interceeding for us. If we set our minds on things above not on earthly things then we will not be stressed out and burdened by things of the world because they are all temporary and we have our real home to think about. Even though we have died to this world and are hidden with Christ we may still be tempted to give life to our former self and need to be reminded that we must put to death our old self so that we can look forward to the day that Christ will return and take us home where thanks to Jesus we will been seen in His glory.
