NEHEMIAH 3:1-5:13
NEHEMIAH 6:1-7:3
Nehemiah 3:10 Adjoining this, Jedaiah son of Harumaph made repairs opposite his house, and Hattush son of Hashabneiah made repairs next to him.
It was not up to a handful of people to rebuild the wall. Everyone took on some responsibility for rebuilding the wall. That is what it takes in a church that is looking to rebuild or grow. It reminds me of the book I'm reading about the Biblical Role of Elders in the church. It talked about how as an elder we will be given a particular field to watch over and that is where our focus should be. Not trying to do everything. Build up our part of the wall.
Nehemiah 4:1 When Sanballat heard that we were rebuilding the wall, he became angry and was greatly incensed. He ridiculed the Jews, 2 and in the presence of his associates and the army of Samaria, he said, “What are those feeble Jews doing? Will they restore their wall? Will they offer sacrifices? Will they finish in a day? Can they bring the stones back to life from those heaps of rubble—burned as they are?”
3 Tobiah the Ammonite, who was at his side, said, “What they are building—even a fox climbing up on it would break down their wall of stones!”
When God's work is being accomplished there will always be opposition. They will try to stop it and criticize the work and tell lies. But nothing can stop God from accomplishing His plans when His people respond in humble obedience.
Nehemiah 6:16 When all our enemies heard about this, all the surrounding nations were afraid and lost their self-confidence, because they realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.
And word gets around. Lord may the word get out that God is accomplishing something great in our church. And may it cause the enemies to lose confidence when they realize that all that we are accomplishing is with the help of God.

I just listened to a sermon in this the other day.
It focused i. the gates, the symbolic meaning of each one and how it applies to christians and the rebuilding of us and most importantly the church.
In Nehemiah 3, the gates of Jerusalem represent specific spiritual truths and callings, with each named gate symbolizing a particular facet of the Christian life, such as salvation (Sheep Gate), evangelism (Fish Gate), cleansing (Water Gate), and even Christ's triumphant return (East Gate).
The rebuilding of these gates by various groups symbolizes the collective effort required for spiritual restoration and the importance of each individual's role in God's work.
Symbolic Meanings of Some Gates:
