NEHEMIAH 7:4-8:12
Nehemiah 7:4 Now the city was large and spacious, but there were few people in it, and the houses had not yet been rebuilt. 5 So my God put it into my heart to assemble the nobles, the officials and the common people for registration by families. I found the genealogical record of those who had been the first to return. This is what I found written there:
Oh, this gives me ideas for the church. Our church went through a lot of things that the enemy used to try to knock us down. A retiring pastor, transition to a new denomination, COVID and hiring a new pastor and though it all the enemy sewed conflict and heartache. He chiseled away at the walls and people were drawn away from the church. But God who is faithful has rebuilt the walls and brought us people who are strong in faith and willing to seek God. He is visibly at work all around and in us. Those who come into our doors feel it and comment on it. It is on my heart to let those who have been away from the church know about the exciting things He is doing now. To encourage them to come back and fill the pews and build their relationships with Jesus as Nehemiah called the people to come back and build houses and fill the city.
Nehemiah 8:10 Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”
We had a great time of fellowship this past Sunday for our Rally Day to kick of the program year. We enjoyed delicious food and drinks, played games and fellowshipped. There are plans to do more of this. What a perfect time to invite people to join us.

“Ezra opened the book. All the people could see him because he was standing above them; and as he opened it, the people all stood up. 6 Ezra praised the LORD, the great God; and all the people lifted their hands and responded, "Amen! Amen!" Then they bowed down and worshiped the Lord with their faces to the ground.
