MALACHI 2:10-4:6

JOEL 1:1-3:21



Malachi 3:3 “I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty.

2 But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.


John the Baptist, the messenger who prepared the way. Jesus, the Lord they were seeking. He has come and He has gone to the Father. He will come again. He came that we should be washed cleaned. We cannot stand before Him in our sinfulness, but He has refined us and purified and cleansed us from all unrighteousness. This is our last day in the Old Testament and will be reading about Jesus starting tomorrow. Rejoice Our Redeemer lives!
