Psalms 100:1-5 NIV
[1] Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.
[2] Worship the Lord with gladness;
come before him with joyful songs.
[3] Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his;
we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.
[4] Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise;
give thanks to him and praise his name.
[5] For the Lord is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
All the earth is not just all the people. I have seen creation shouting for joy and worshipping the Lord with gladness. The wind, the waves, birds, insects and more come before Him with joyful song. We should join them. I love that this Psalm says "Know that the Lord is God." and we are reading it while also going through the book of John. The book with the primary purpose of showing Jesus as God. Know that the Lord Jesus Christ is God. He made us and we are the sheep in His pasture. That is why Mary Magdalin knew it was Jesus after He said her name. Because the sheep know the shepherd's voice. As we contemplate the divinity of Jesus and all that He did including raising Himself from the dead, we should be filled with thanksgiving and praise. |We can rest on the assurance that He is good. All good & loving (omnibenevolent). His love endures forever. He has proven Himself to be faithful since the beginning of time through today and we can rejoice in the assurance that He will be faithful for all eternity.
SHOUT TO THE LORD ALL THE EARTH!
