I listened to the reading today. I must admit that I was easily distracted while listening. It could be because of the familiarity of the stories. I have read and studied these scriptures enough that I could always share some snip it of information that I have learned in the past, but I have probably already written about them in a previous post. So, I will say that nothing special stood out to me today. Keep up with your reading and share your thoughts.

Matthew 14 opens with loss. John the Baptist has been brutally killed, and when Jesus hears the news, He withdraws to a solitary place. This matters. Before the miracles, before the crowds, before the teaching—Jesus grieves. He seeks quiet. He goes to be alone with the Father. Even the Son of God models what we so often forget to do: lay sorrow at God’s feet.
this is given me a beautiful insight into amplifying Jesus more to come in my speech thank you Jesus for giving me the missing piece that I needed.
