Psalms 3:1-6 EASY
[1] Lord, every day I have more enemies.
Many people fight against me. [2] They say about me, ‘God will not save him.’ [3] But Lord, you are like a shield for me. You are the one who gives me honour. You lift my head up high. [4] I called aloud to the Lord. He answered me from his holy mountain. [5] I lie down and I sleep. Then I wake up, because the Lord takes care of me. [6] Even if 10,000 enemies are all around me to attack me, I will not be afraid of them.
I have done the reading a different way each day. Day 1 I listened to the music while reading the verses that went with them. The second day I only read and did not listen. Today I listened without reading. The timing was perfect for that today. As I listened to the Psalm, it gave me great comfort and encouragement. I was feeling a little bit unjustly picked on at work, so these words struck a chord. And the way it was sung and music with it added to the connection that it made for me. I do not have to have any concern for what other may do fight against me because the Lord will take care of me. I have nothing to fear and His will and opinion of me is all that matters. He gives me honour regardless of what anyone else might say. I woke last night and started thinking about the work situation and started to lose sleep until I acknowledged God's hand in it all. That is when the words of v5 became true. "I lie down and I sleep. then I wake up, because the Lord takes care of me." I can face any conflict with confidence. I have nothing to fear.

this seems to be a theme for me up to a few weeks ago, while I was more concerned with what others thought of me and how I move through the kingdom and in life over the confidence of pleasing my Lord. These verses were helpful to me this morning too.
Love this one, hit home. thank you.
