ROMANS 15:1-16:27
2 CORINTHIANS 1:1-2:4
Romans 15:1 We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves.
Oooo I like the word sensitive better than weak. I think that much better explains it.
Romans 15:18 Yet I dare not boast about anything except what Christ has done through me, bringing the Gentiles to God by my message and by the way I worked among them.
This reminds me of the recent conversation I had with someone at the bar. She was the bartender that I had talked to about God, faith, and commitment a year or so ago. She had quit working there a while ago and she came in when my husband was playing there. I was so happy to see her and give her a hug and asked her what was new. She is engaged and in conversation she mentioned the most important part of the wedding planning is the spiritual aspect. She said, "I don't know if you remember..." and mentioned when we talked all that time ago. She said, "It really resonated with me." and after that she began a spiritual journey. She found a church that she has been learning and growing in and met a man who also loves the Lord and encourages her in her faith. My heart was so moved in thanksgiving to her for sharing because it was so encouraging. But more so I was so thankful to God for how He works through me even in a local bar. I gave Him the glory when I spoke to her and when I have the encouraging story with others. God not only worked through me to speak to her, but He used her words to encourage me and confirm His work in my life. I pray I will never boast about myself only Christ.
