Luke 21:34 “Be careful, or your hearts will be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and the anxieties of life, and that day will close on you suddenly like a trap. 35 For it will come on all those who live on the face of the whole earth.

The hearts of many today are weighed down with carousing, drunkenness and anxieties of life. This unchurched age is trying to deal with the difficulties of life without Jesus. The result is trying to cope with wild/irresponsible living, drugs and alcohol, and they are drowning in anxiety and depression. The time is unknown when Jesus will return, and the severity of this world should give us an urgency to live and act as though the time is right now. Our hope is in Christ, and our hearts should break for those who have no hope because they have no Christ.

There is no way anyone will even consider Christ if the Spirit is not prompting them. I pray daily that God will give me an opportunity to say or do something that would help to draw someone closer to Him. I also ask that He would give me eyes to see where He is working so that I might join Him. Time is short so I don't want to waste my time trying to do something for the kingdom on my own. I would rather join God where He is already working because that then it is sure to make a difference. Whether I see it or not.
