September 26, 2026 - Pray Intentionally
“I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. ”
1 Timothy 2:1-4 NIV
This is a great reminder to me to not just continue to pray for people as I think of them, but to be intentional in my prayer time. I always go through phases of focused extended intentional prayer for many that tapers off to selected prayers for those who are heavy on my heart to random prayers as I think of them. Lately I have recognized the need to get back to and intentional time of prayer but that has been mostly times of praise and thanksgiving. This is calling me to get back to praying more intentionally for people including our leaders. And the prayer that I pray for all is that they would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth.
