Psalms 29:3-5 NIV

[3] The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord thunders over the mighty waters. [4] The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. [5] The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon.

With women's conference being right around the corner Amplifying Jesus is on my mind. We need to remember that the voice of the Lord is over all things. It can be heard over all things. The voice of the Lord is majestic and powerful enough to break huge trees. Why is it we don't hear Him? It's not that His voice is not loud enough or powerful enough. We are just letting all kinds of things drown him out. We are tuning in to the wrong channel.

Matthew 21:9 NIV

[9] The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” “Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” “Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Instead, we should be tuning into Him and who He is. |We should be spending time praising Him and worshiping Him. Lifting up our voices to give all the honor and glory that is due Him.

Matthew 21:16 NIV

[16] “Do you hear what these children are saying?” they asked him. “Yes,” replied Jesus, “have you never read, “ ‘From the lips of children and infants you, Lord, have called forth your praise’ ?”

From the beginning of our lives, we are called to praise Him. Have you ever watched children sing songs about Jesus. They don't hold back they celebrate and laugh and dance and shout it out. That is what our praise to Him should look like. No matter what our age we can come to Him like a child in praise.

That is how we tune into Him and His voice and tune out the world.
